International Goat Days Results

Last we weekend we cooked in another KCBS contest… and got another call with The BBQ RUB. It came through again for us with a 4th place call in the Rib category. That makes 3 contests in a row where we finished in the money with it! The results keep getting better every time. Overall we finished 8th out of 28 teams. That’s no to bad considering there were two – yeah, 2 – perfect 180 entries. Theron, from River City Rub, scored a 180 in Chicken and our new friends, the Redneck Grillers, collected a pin for their perfect brisket. I was fortunate enough to get a taste of it, and all I can say is WOW!!! Hands down the best brisket I’ve ever tried. Both these teams are seasoned pros. This week we’re getting ready for a big money MBN contest hosted by Harrah’s Casino. Last year we made finals and finished 3rd in the Shoulder category at the Smoking Aces Bbq Contest, and hopefully this year we can take home a share of the $40,000 that’s up for grabs. There’s going to be some tough competition, but as always we’re up for the challenge.
