Heading To The American Royal

This morning me, Waylon and the luckiest girl in the world were up and on the road by 4:30 AM to make the drive from Memphis to Kansas City. I’ts our first time at this world championship bbq contest… and we’re documenting it all! Mostly because we’re excited to be here. This is the first time I’ve ever cooked 2 contests back-to-back, and I’m ready for it! We wanted to get there early to make sure we could get our trailer in the spot without any problems. But I think we overshot it a little because no one was there. We hit up one of KC’s most well-know BBQ joints, Jack Stack Barbecue. And now we are back in the hotel for one night before we set-up shop full-time at Kemper Arena for 4 days. Wish us luck!
