The next time you are strolling down the charcoal isle at your local store; make sure to keep a look out for the name Western. This company is by far the innovator when it comes to cooking wood and charcoal. Western Premium Wood Products manufacturer and distribute just about any type of wood you can imagine from chunks, mini logs, chips, even charcoal; and their years of experience in developing these products places them at the top of the list when it comes to quality cooking products.
This year at the Jack I had the pleasure of talking to several of the guys from Western and was thrilled to hear that they are a huge supporter of competition barbecue. Western donates thousands of dollars to contests all over the US every year. Without companies like this our sport wouldn’t be what it is today.
My favorite product that they have is the Cherry Wood Chunks. This product is all natural and dried in a special way, so that it produces the perfect smoke for barbecue. If you’re looking for a supplier for fruit wood they make Apple and Peach chunks as well.
