Wow what a weekend we had. My team, Killer Hogs, took home 1st place chicken, 3rd place ribs, 8th place pork, and overall Grand Champion. We’re still very excited about this win. There were 88 teams trying to bring home the gold, and Waylon and I pulled it off.

I can’t express how much we appreciate all of the cheers, thanks, and hand shakes that everyone gave us. It really means a lot to us!

The city of Tupelo really rolled out the red carpet for all of the competitors. From the load-in, goodie bag, free ice, and even fresh hot donuts delivered right on site. You just don’t see that at most competitions. This contest was probably the biggest ever in the state of Mississippi, and if they keep it up it will grow even larger.
