I got this email the other day…

Malcom,

Good afternoon.
Just wanted to let you know and say thank you for giving me the knowledge and courage to compete in my first comp.

I entered the Backyard division at the Capital City Cookoff in Jefferson City, Missouri with my wife and we got called three times!!!!

3rd overall.
3rd in ribs.
4th in pork steak.

Watching your videos and reading instructions gave me the confidence and knowledge to do great.

I realize that it was a backyard event and that there were just 27 teams, but they might have well called my name for winning the American Royal. I was so excited, and stoked.

Needless to say, Malcom, I’m hooked for LIFE.
