DOT Review

DOTthermometer1DOT meat thermometer is a really simple meat probe that Does-One-Thing (DOT) – it give you the internal temp of your meat.

You can also set your target temp and it will alert you when it hits that internal.

For the price, you can’t beat it. ThermoWorks makes this product and they are the best thermometer company around. They make good-quality products and stand behind them.

I’ve used this DOT several times and it works great for smoking BBQ. You just set your target internal temp, put it in the thickest part of the meat (not touching bone) and let it cook.

With the DOT you don’t have to worry about over-shooting your meat and having it turn out dry or mushy. And you don’t have to worry about pulling it off too soon and having it be tough – or worse making folks sick.

You can check out the DOT and buy your own here >>

I shot a quick video using the DOT while I was smoking a whole duck for you to check it out….

these DOT thermometers sell for about $39 and they will last you for a while. If you are smoking on a regular basis and want your meat to be cooked to perfection, you gotta get one of these DOTs.

Malcom, This is Dave from Amherst, Ohio. Just to let you know that I am just getting started with pellet type cooking. In November I purchased the Camp Chef Pellet Smoker. For just starting out it is a great grill. I have done 3 cooks already using your recipes. BBQ meat loaf, 7 pound Boston Butt, and a stuffed flank steak. All three cooks came out to perfection. I am so glad that I found your web site. Here is why I like your site. Your instructions on how to cook with a smoker is the best. You very thorough and complete with every detail. You performed well with all the little details to make things right. I have purchased your products such as; BBQ Rub. AP Rub, and ect. Thanks Malcome for making things better for others like me to learn how to smoke’em right. David Ferry Amherst, Ohio
