We had a great contest in Tunica, MS a few weeks back. The weather was nice, all the big teams showed up… and we took home a nice trophy and check.
We cooked Whole Hog and Shoulders and made finals with our shoulders. The competition was pretty tough, so we were pleased. There was several Memphis In May Grand Champions there including Yazoo Delta Q, Red Hot Smokers, Sweet Swine O’ Mine and Natural Born Grillers. This was one of the toughest competitions we cooked in all year long.
Now that this contest is over, we are setting our sites on the Fall. Deer hunting takes up some of my BBQ time this time of year, but we are still planning on doing a little cooking before the holidays roll around.
