Our next contest coming up is the Kennett Jaycees BBQ Contest in Kennett, Missouri. We’ve cooked this contest before and loved it. There is plenty of space, lots of trees for shade – and the best part is that it’s in April instead of July.
We had planned on going to the KCBS cook in Pelahatchie, MS but I found out yesterday it got cancelled. So I had to rework my schedule – and luckily – the Kennett contest hasn’t filled up yet.
We’re going to have a lot of competition at this cook. Redneck Grillers and their brisket are going to be tough to beat. AND this is their hometown. But I love a good contest.
I actually talked to the organizer of Kennett’s BBQ Cook this morning – and he says there are still a few spots left.
So if you’re looking for a great little contest to cook… I highly recommend this one. You can find all the information about Kennett Jaycees BBQ contest HERE.
