When I think about
Ubon’s, I think about great BBQ, great people and the finest southern hospitality you can find anywhere.
And last weekend we stole several pages out of the Ubon’s hospitality handbook.
At our BBQ Class, we started Saturday morning off with
Ubon’s Bloody Mary’s. (the best Bloody Mary’s your gonna find)
Then for dinner we served
Ubon’s “Perfect Sandwich”. This thing was voted one of the best sandwiches in America for a reason… it’s “Slow smoked rare roast beef on an onion roll (dunked in au jus topped with Vidalia onion, horseradish mayo, spicy mustard & UBONS SAUCE”
Then after dinner Mark Lambert made everyone who wanted one a “Ubon’s Special”. I’m not sure the exact recipe for this one, but it’s a delicious mix of whiskey, pineapple and sprite.
We didn’t even realize that half our menu was coming from Mr. Gary and Leslie until someone pointed it out to us… we were just serving the stuff we like!
So I gotta give credit where credit is due and thank the entire Ubon’s crew for being such a great example of what southern hospitality is all about.
And if you haven’t been there before, put
Ubon’s on your list to visit. It’s a great BBQ joint, with good food… and I have to say I’ve never been in there to eat when Mr. Gary and Leslie weren’t in their working, and to me, that’s pretty impressive.
