Here is my recipe for Baked Beans:
Smoked Baked Beans Recipe:
– 2 cans Bush’s Original Baked Beans (drained completely)
– ½ red onion (diced fine)
– 1 red bell pepper (diced fine)
– 1 glove garlic (diced fine)
– ¾ cup packed brown sugar
– 1 cup barbecue sauce
– 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
– 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
– 1 tablespoon Barbecue rub
– AP seasoning to taste
– 1 cup pulled pork (add more if desired)
Mix and place on 250 degree smoker uncovered for 1.5 hours. Add lid or cover with foil and continue to cook on 250 degree smoker for 1.5 hours.
Feel free to add to this recipe or make changes. The great thing about baked beans is that you can make them your own.

Those beans look amazing ! I have to try these for sure ! I enjoy all your video’s and tips for smoking some tasty meat. Everybody that’s tried what I’ve made has really enjoyed it ! Thanks so much for all the tips !
Great recipe (as all are), Malcolm. Been using it since I first saw it, much love going your way.
My hack is that, since I use my Yoder to smoke them and want a bit more smoke, I need to leave the pot uncovered for the entire 3 hours. So, I don’t drain the beans and merely let the extra juice cook off.
These are awesome. I used some smoked bacon I had instead of the pork. Left them on my Green Mountain for 3-4 hours with my other meat I was bbq’ing and it was awesome.
These Beans are the bomb and have become a family and neighborhood favorite! I especially like the addition of our left over pulled pork……literally turns baked beans into a meal!
I have been smoking for years but just got a new vertical pellet smoker. I just got started doing a pork tenderloin and my boss told me about your website and You Tube videos. I saw these baked beans and had to try them. I had already made 6 pounds of pulled pork and added half of that in the beans. My goodness, these turned out great. What a taste sensation! Needless to say, they did not last long. I’m on my way right now to the store for some more fixin’s. Its going to be a smoked pork and beans weekend!

What size cans of beans are you using?
Wondered the same thing, but if they are as good as everyone says, I went with the big can!
I used 28oz cans and it looks the same as in the video.

What kind of wood do you use when making these?
Did you find out what wood he uses for these?
you can really use any wood – my fave is apple/cherry mixed with pecan

LIKE YOUR SITE. IF YOU ARE UP TO A LITTLE IDEA. TRY ADDDING A LITTLE BLACK GARLIC POWDER TO YOUR BEANS. I THINK YOU MIGHT BE HAPPILY SUPPRISED

How much of this recipe do I need to make for 175 people
When estimating beans I go with a 1/2 size aluminum pan feeds 20-25.
This recipe probably needs one CLOVE of garlic and not a GLOVE of garlic. 😉
I love these beans. I make them everytime I serve Pulled Pork, Ribs, My own Smoked Sausage. They are a big hit.
Made it last night – it was Awesome – Thanks!!
Made these beans today. Fantastic! And kid approved. My 2 year old twins loved them. Thanks Malcom
If you were to cook these Beans and your Smoked Mac and Cheese side by side on the pit. What temperature would you suggest and for how long.
