Somerville, TN Third Annual Bull-Moose BBQ Contest

It’s been a busy few weeks for the Killer Hogs. I’ve been down to New Orleans cooking in Hogs for the Cause and just last week we traveled to Somerville Tennessee for the 3rd annual Bull Moose BBQ Contest. This was our first trip to Somerville but I guarantee you we will return. The men and women of the Somerville Moose lodge went out of their way to make sure every team had a great experience. Being a first year KCBS you never know what to expect but this contest went off without any trouble. The venue had plenty of space and we had no trouble with water or electricity. The awards were even held in-door with a/c. That’s always a nice touch. We were lucky enough to walk away with 4 calls at the Bull Moose BBQ Contest finishing 2nd in chicken, 7th Ribs, 3rd Pork, and 8th Brisket also taking Reserve Grand Champion. It makes the drive home easier with results like that! There’s not any time for rest right now. We’re heading right back out to Columbus, MS to compete in Grillin’ on the River this weekend.
